A social media user identified as Patrick Tate has shed light about his struggle with poverty and his decision to change his life.
In his post, Patrick said, “I got so tired of living in poverty. That’s it. I’ve been poor my whole life. I’ve been waiting till I got paid my whole life.
“I’ve been checking my bank account my whole life. I’ve been wishing for more my whole life.”
He went on to describe his frustration. “I’ve been saying ‘one day’ my whole life. Playing scratch offs. Playing the lottery. Working hard on a job that don’t care.
“Mad as hell when I see how much they took in taxes. Being broke is wack as hell,” he said.
Patrick also shared his age and how long he has struggled. “I’m 34 and I’ve been poor for 31 to 32 of them,” he wrote.
Despite his anger and pain, he said he has made a choice to change his story. “It’s up to you to change your story. Nobody is coming to save you. You have to put the work in,” Patrick said.
He encouraged others who feel stuck to try new paths. “Try something different,” he added.
His post has touched many people online, especially those who feel tired of struggling.
