Singer Sefa has said criticism from trolls on social media did not end her journey, it strengthened it.
During an interview on Hitz FM, the singer said harsh social media comments pushed her to work harder.
“That really broke me,” she admitted. “I was like, OK, now I need to prove that I can do it.”
The comment in question suggested that music executive Dee Black was wasting his resources on her. Beyond the personal attack, Sefa said she understood the larger implication.
“Obviously people are going to say, stop investing in her. What are you getting from her?” she noted.
“And then that was where the vim and the vigour came. You have to do more,” she said.
Sefa explained that while criticism can be painful, it can also ignite determination. For her, the moment became a reminder that results, not arguments, are the strongest response.
