During a TikTok live session, dancehall rapper Shatta Wale urges fans to refrain from needless comparisons and arguments over competition with fellow musician Stonebwoy.
Dancehall superstar Shatta Wale is urging fans to stop making constant comparisons between himself and fellow artist Stonebwoy in a widely circulated video that is making the rounds online.
On February 7, the self-described Dancehall King addressed the ongoing rivalry storyline between the Shatta Movement and Bhim Nation in a TikTok live broadcast. Shatta Wale made it apparent that his own beliefs do not coincide with the ongoing arguments fueled by followers on both sides.
He asked followers to avoid bringing the two sides into unnecessary disputes throughout the session. “Stop debating about us and Bhim Nation. He emphasized that he did not endorse the continuous comparisons to Stonebwoy, saying, “We don’t want that.”
Shatta Wale also seems to wonder why these conversations are held, pointing out that they frequently ignore how long he has been in the music industry. He reminded the audience that his career started long before Stonebwoy was well-known. He added rhetorically, “Do you think your artist entered this industry before me?”
His comments coincide with the release of new songs by both artists, which has sparked controversy on social media once more and rekindled conversations among their respective fan groups.
