Ghanaian gospel musician Mavis Asante has offered a rare glimpse into her marriage, highlighting the role of trust, transparency and open communication in sustaining her relationship over the years.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM on February 10, 2026, the singer reflected on the realities of married life, admitting that she has faced emotional challenges like many women. However, she was quick to commend her husband for never being physically abusive, describing that as a cornerstone of their bond.
“I’ve cried; I’ve done all the things that every woman will do or go through in marriage,” she said. “One thing I will give to my husband is that he has never raised his hand at me. When he does something wrong, and I talk about it, he doesn’t repeat it.”

“We got to a point where we decided not to keep any secrets from each other,” she shared.

“I know his MoMo PIN, but I don’t take advantage of it. He knows mine too. When he deposits money into his account, I get an alert on my phone,” she revealed.
