Pastor David Ogbueli, founder of Dominion City Church Global, has sparked widespread debate following a sermon in which he strongly condemned certain sexual practices within marriage, describing them as spiritually dangerous and contrary to God’s design.
Preaching to his congregation, the cleric lamented what he called a growing moral and spiritual decline within the church. He argued that intimacy between married couples should follow what he believes to be the biblical model, cautioning against practices he considers unnatural.
“Suddenly it’s all about sex… the one God made for male and female; you don’t want it anymore. You want it from the back,” he stated, warning that such acts, even between husband and wife, amount to defiling the marriage bed.
Referencing the biblical account of Sodom and Gomorrah, Pastor Ogbueli suggested that the destruction of the cities was not limited to same-sex relations but also included sexual acts he considers outside God’s intended design, even within heterosexual marriage.
He further claimed that engaging in such practices “invites Satan into that bedroom,” alleging that certain behaviours may be influenced by what he described as “spirits of the Nephilim” and fallen beings seeking expression through human vessels. According to him, these spiritual influences can be transmitted through immoral acts, bloodlines or sexual contact with partners who have been previously exposed.
Calling for spiritual revival, the pastor urged Christians to remain vigilant, stressing that both young and older believers must uphold what he described as God’s standards for marriage and sexual conduct.
