Ghanaian-Romanian music artist, Sister Deborah, has announced her decision to step back from romantic relationships after enduring multiple heartbreaks.
She revealed her reluctance to be with another man, citing her past experiences with heartbreak as the main reason for her choice.
During an exclusive interview on Accra-based Okay FM, the ‘Ama Piano’ singer explained that she often finds herself vulnerable in relationships, which has led to mistreatment by her partners.
She expressed her tendency to wholeheartedly invest in her relationships, even in friendships, but often feels that her efforts go unreciprocated.
Sister Deborah shared, “Whenever I am in a relationship, I go all out for the person. I always put the people I love ahead of my needs. When I am in a relationship, I invest all my energy and resources, which ends up draining me and slowing me down. I get turned off when I realize the affection is only one-sided.”
