Bongo Ideas emphasized that, in his evaluation, the primary factor setting Sarkodie and Yaa Pono apart is branding rather than inherent talent. He expressed, “The only difference between Sarkodie and Yaa Pono is BRANDING cos Pono is actually a more gifted & better rapper than Obidi!”

 

The critic went on to suggest that Yaa Pono’s potential might not have been fully realized due to factors like luck or perhaps underutilization of his talent. Bongo Ideas speculated, “Yaa Pono was just not lucky enough or maybe he slept on his talent, didn’t push hard and killed it with laziness.”
