Celebrated rapper Sarkodie has disclosed a surprising detail about some of his chart-topping and award winning songs.
According to him, he never wrote a single word for any of his “Azonto” tunes like “Gogo Woho,” and “You Go Kill Me” before they became popular.
This revelation came as a response to a tweet praising the enduring relevance of these songs despite being Azonto tunes.
One can argue that Sarkodie is one of the key figures in popularizing Azonto, who played a vital role in elevating the genre within the Ghanaian music scene and wider African music fraternity.
Despite being a rapper, Azonto contributed significantly to his international recognition and potentially solidified his status as an artist, as evidenced by his BET Awards win.
