A sad scene unfolded at the spanner bus stop at the Tetteh Quarshie roundabout near the Accra Mall when a Ghanaian woman was struck and killed by a car.
According to reports, the lady was attempting to cross the highway on foot rather than using the designated footbridge.
Unfortunately, a car struck her down.
The reports add that while she did not die from the collision, it was late at night and without any streetlight, other cars also ran her over leading to her death.
The tragic incident lead to serious reactions from social media users.
“A country called Ghana 🇬🇭. Instead of using some of the money to fix the streets light ts they are rather using it on politics instead smh. May her soul rest well,” one user wrote.
