Mr Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafo, The Chairman of the National Media Commission (NMC), is of the strong believe that it is wrong to attribute the murder of 10-year-old Ishmael at Kasoa to Spiritualists On TV.
Since news broke on the Kasoa murder case last Saturday, many have cried that Spiritualists, money doublers and fake pastors be banned on TV.
Sharing his view on the recent Kasoa case, the NMC boss said only a lazy investigation of the murder case could point at Spiritualists advertising on TV as the main cause.
“To put it on a charge sheet that this is the reason why they did that, I think that this is a very lazy investigation,” he opined on Joy FM.
“We should bemoan some of the things that we see on our television and all that. But to impute that a heinous crime as this merely to the fact that somebody watched television, I think that it is too farfetched.” Mr. Boadu-Ayeboafo added.
His controversial comment has caused an out roar on social media as many aim for his head. Read some reactions below.
