According to TMZ, Israel Adesanya, the middleweight champion, defeated Alex Pereira at UFC 281, which was held at Madison Square Garden in New York City, on Saturday (November 13).
By the fifth round of the battle, Pereira had pummeled Adesanya with a barrage of blows that left him stunned but still.
The referee intervened to break up the fight after deciding that he had seen enough roughness. With this victory, Pereira defeated Adesanya for the third time in a row.
They had fought each other previously in kickboxing competitions. Drake, who is renowned for placing huge wagers, won $1 million when Adesanya defeated mixed martial artist Jared Cannonier in July.
